The History Of Square One Church

The BEGINNING

The Story Behind the name “Square One Church” was inspired from our vision and dream to make the Good News of Jesus Christ easy to understand and practical to apply in peoples everyday lives.

Square One Church started in March of 2014 with only 10 people. The meeting was held in the living room of the Pastor’s sister-in-law. As the church began to grow, they moved the meeting to a café that is located in Center City Philadelphia.

In Early 2015, The Church was blessed with the ability to be able to lease a 2000 square foot space in South Philadelphia. The Church remains in this spot until the end of 2022.

The PRESENT

We recently moved into a new space that has been promised by God. It’s about twice the size of the previous one and it’s located right at the spot for easy commute and parking. Not only that we have extra communal space, but there’s a dedicated space for kids to hold Sunday School and young people to meet as well. We are grateful for this new season, a whole new chapter so that God may move freely in the lives of many people!
